Te Kahu means 'the cloak' in te reo Maori and refers to the mist that envelops Giants Winery in the Tukituki Valley. The beautiful 2018 has a very rich plum nose with mulberry and well-integrated, spicy French-oak character. The palate has well-judged balance and even shape. Super fresh and vibrant red plums and mulberries abound. The tannins are smooth and layered. A thoroughly respectable Kiwi claret! A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, cabernet franc and petit verdot.
