This superb Late Bottled Vintage sweet port is aged in oak and is then bottled with no fining or filtration. The wine thus retains all its concentration and natural richness of flavour. A natural sediment may form after some time, particularly if the wine is subjected to cold. If this happens it is advisable to decant it. Good expression of fruit and enticing aromatics, including a bit of a cistus nuance. I loved the chocolate and toast on the finish. And there is a fair share of power leading to good grip on that finish.
