The Glenturret Distillery has a long history of producing both peated and unpeated Scotch whisky, and this 2022 release of its 10-year-old single malt celebrates the peaty side of that history. Back in the early 1800s, peat was sourced from the mosses surrounding The Glenturret's water source, though nowadays, a wide variety of peat sources help to achieve a huge array of flavour characteristics. Matured in a combo of American and European oak and bottled up at 50% ABV, it's a satisfyingly smoky sipper from the Highland distillery.
