Our noses found apple juice being poured over clotted cream, lemon icing and lavender. One Panellist had a side serving of toast too. To the palate, we were tucking into cinnamon buns dusted with teak wood shavings and dunked in bramble jelly as we wore wellie boots and a woolly jumper. Water brought out wild strawberries, blueberry compote, redcurrants and damp soil on the nose, while the palate was treated to lemon zest, creamy vanilla and a touch of star anise and fennel.
