To celebrate the milestone of its 130th anniversary , Giulio Cocchi, founded in Asti in 1891, presented a limited edition of a special "Barolo Chinato type Export " . Barolo Chinato , produced continuously since the company's first years of activity, has accompanied the history and evolution of Giulio Cocchi. It has embodied characteristics of elegance and taste that have allowed it to never go out of fashion: the Barolo Chinato Cocchi labels that have followed one another over the years have held firm all the elements that characterized them from the beginning, from the prominence given to the highest honors obtained from wine with an accent on China , the protagonist among the spices of the flavouring, marking a very distinctive recognizability of this wine. The Barolo base wine is particularly rich and full-bodied: entirely fruit of the 2016 harvest from the heart of the Langa , a single vineyard in the Scarrone cru , in Castiglione Falletto , owned by the Bava family , aged in a single barrel. The botanicals are enriched by the presence of rhubarb, gentian flowers, bay leaves, coriander, cardamom, sweet and bitter orange peel.
