"Located in Comox, just a stone’s throw from the Georgia Strait, 40 Knots is a magical place where the forces of nature are at play.
Our site is so influenced by wind and a seaside atmosphere (complete with salty air, sea lions, eagles, and playful swallows) that we paid tribute to these elements through the naming of our winery. This unique windswept environment results in, drier leaf canopy that creates an ideal growing environment for vines when combined with plentiful sunshine and warm days.
Our 2010 Pinot Noir reveals floral, raspberry, cherry, earth, and herb notes, with juicy acidity and savoury notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and spice. Try it with wild mushroom risotto, wild BC salmon, and veal dishes."
